River Hills Community Health Center now offers Outreach Prevention Services. These services are available in the following counties: Appanoose, Davis, Des Moines, Henry, Jefferson, Lee, Lucas, Monroe, Van Buren, Wapello, and Wayne.

What to expect when you arrive for screening:

HIV Screening:
Rapid finger-poke test that takes 1 min for a preliminary result. If a positive result occurs, a confirmatory blood sample would be drawn. Confirmatory results typically return within 3-7 days.

Hepatitis C (HCV) Screening:
Rapid finger-poke test that takes 20 min for a preliminary result. If a positive result occurs, a confirmatory blood sample would be drawn. Confirmatory results typically return within 3-7 days.

Syphilis Screening:
Send out blood draw specimen. Results typically return within 3-7 days.

Gonorrhea and Chlamydia Screening:
Send out urine specimen or self-administered culture swab. Results typically return within 3-7 days.

RHCHC will not deny any services due to the inability to pay. We offer a sliding fee scale for patients who qualify based on poverty guidelines. 

We accept payment from Medicare, Medicaid and  most private insurances.

This health center receives HHS funding and has federal Public Health Service (PHS) deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
